Jackson family

John Jackson was an African American barber who was living in Deseronto with his Ontario-born wife, Agnes, at the time of the 1881  census. An advertisement in the Napanee Express newspaper of 2 September 1881 featured his business (in the year that Mill Point changed its name to Deseronto):

It is not clear where John and Agnes Jackson moved to after leaving Deseronto.
