Factory building of Belleville Hardware Company.

The Belleville Hardware Company building was on Pinnacle Street in Belleville, just to the north of the Pinnacle Playhouse (now the site of the Pinnacle parking lot). It opened for business in 1901.

The president of the company was Thomas S. Carman, owner of the home in Tale One, and William C. Springer was the managing director. It manufactured locks and other hardware.

Springer left the firm in 1910 to establish the Springer Lock Factory on Coleman Street. This was taken over by the American Hardware Company in 1931, operating under the name Corbin Lock until its closure in 1988.
