The person on the right of this picture is Clifford Robert Burrows, a Belleville man who was born in 1889. The other man and the woman on horseback may be his brother, Sanford, born in 1882, and his sister, Edna, born in 1892.

Edna Burrows married the poet Wallace Havelock Robb in 1913. Sanford was an insurance agent who married Jessie Phillips in 1916 and lived in Glanmore House until his death in 1952.

Clifford was a grocer: he enlisted to fight in the First World War in 1915 and was killed at the Battle of Mount Sorrel on June 2nd, 1916.
