Cover of book on Belleville in First World War,

The culmination of four years of work was celebrated today by Community Archives volunteer, Laurel Bishop. Laurel's research on life in Belleville during the First World War is familiar to regular visitors to the Community Archives' website, where from 2014 to 2018 she has been sharing edited newspaper reports 100 years after their first publication.

These reports have now been selected, edited, and compiled into book form and published by the Hastings County Historical Society. The book's title is Belleville in the First World War: Reports from the Intelligencer. The volume is available in the Community Archives, at a price of $30.

Congratulations to Laurel on the incredible amount of work she has put in to this project.
